做了近两年的教育了,总结了许多学生的签证经历以及对结果的分析,希望对需要签证的朋友有所帮助.

第一次面签通过，面签日期及地点：2007年7月11日上午几九点，北京。
***签证问答：

A: biology

A: I met the enrollment counselor before, they have excellent biology major. I think it’s my dreamed university, so I choose to study in this university.
Q: why don’t you study biology in China?
A: Because I met the enrollment counselor before, they has very famous study abroad programs , and I can use their advanced equipments to practice, so I determine to study in Arcadia University.
Q: what’s your parents do?
A: my mother is a deputy general manager, and my father is a technician in hospital.
Q: how much money did your parents prepare?
A; they prepared 930,000RMB for my four years study.

进入签证大厅时应注意以下几点：
1－2号窗口是用来交表格的，包括DS表格，护照，签证费收据，I－20表格。
注意：签证费收据一定要有两联，如果不是就会因为缺第二联而被拒之门外了！同时，I－20表格一定要签名，
M: Morning madam. Nice to meet you!(我上前后，她就背过身去和一个工作人员说话，大概25秒后转身)
V: Nice to meet you!（她先闪过一丝微笑，后低头看DS表格，没看我）
V: So you will study Economics in US? （她仍然低头）
M: Yes!（我不想多做解释，没有必要，等她发问就好，否则显得不够沉着，不能一开始就
乱找话题）
V: Why you want to study Economics in US?
M: I love Economics. I think I have a gift for that. In my high school I can …
(interrupt me)（吓死我了，还以为遇到了不耐心的vo）
V: I want to know why you chose US.（她一边敲电脑一边说，不看我）
M: Ok. First I think the biggest impetus of the development of Economics is the development of real economy. （她突然转过头，用手托着下巴，靠近玻璃，目不转睛的看着我）So the best place for me to learn Economics is the developed country. Second US is very open and there are many international students. So that the learning environment is very good.
V: What is you plan after graduation?(又是一边敲键盘一边问我)
M: I will find a job（她突然转过头，用手托着下巴，靠近玻璃，目不转睛的看着我）
in the department of investment banking of security companies in China.I will have three main work to do. First is launching new stocks in the market. Second is acquisition and annexing. The third is being financial advisor to companies. They are all both professional and exciting to me. You know, being professors is not exciting for me.
V: As you can find good job in US why you will come back? (还是一边敲键盘一边问我)
M: Investment banking is promising here. The first department, （她突然转过头，用手托着下巴，靠近玻璃，目不转睛的看着我）I mean the first official departmentof investment banking was established in China only in 1999. So after I come back it will offer me a broad arena. Second I have known Chinese culture for more than 20 years. I am 22 years now.（我做着可爱的鬼脸说道）So it is my advantage to work here. If a person can find his advantage, he will become a top man.
听完后，她突然在我DS表格上画了个圈，又立刻转过身，一直敲键盘。我心里毛了，到底是拒还是过啊？不能冷场了，于是我主动说：
M: I had a publication last year. A top kernel. Do you want to see it?
V: Sure.
她一开始还是敲电脑，不看我，我就指着杂志的中文注解“中文核心期刊”说top kernel
periodical，她回过头来看。接着，我把期刊打开到我文章的那一页，想塞进去，可是似乎太厚，卡在那里了。于是我就把英文abstract递进去了，她很认真的看起来。
V: So it is about &%$# （她自言自语说了一通，感觉她没有抓到重点，所以我立刻补充）
M: I used Game Theory.
V: Ok, go to window 10.（她一边说一边撕小蓝条，并不看我，接着就敲打键盘）
M: Thank you!
案例分析：
签证结果：顺利拿到签证
签证分析：
1）此学生表现很好，回答问题时抓住了问题的关键，并且分析也相当合理。（考察点是学生的归国计划一定要明确）
2）一定要说实话，这样从语调和神态中表现出来的才是自然的可信的，特别是喜欢和人对
视的vo，关于eye contact 也是很重要的
3）不要紧张，这样语速才不会快，说起来很真实。
4）此签证官很有耐心，是比较客观的一位签证官。每次都不打断别人，但是她没有任何反映，既不点头也不摇头，没有yes也没有no，不论时间长短，她都有自己的决定，拒人没有商量。
5）学生穿着很重要，最好是学生气息浓一些，
6）在面前大厅内尽量保持安静。

***签证经过：
一签---
三个签证官,1号窗口是一个才来的台湾女子,2号和3号都是男的,之前听说很好签的"哈利波特"今天没有来签证.
1号窗口特别好签,基本上都过了.
2号和3号窗口比较难签一点,我之前几个都被拒了.
按完指纹后,他一直看我的学校录取通知书和I-20表,
然后问我什么时候毕业的,
我说是今年6月份.问他要不要看毕业证,他不要
然后问我所学的专业,还有过去要读的专业.
接着又问为什么要学这个专业,和之前的专业有什么关系,学这个专业回国后有什么意义和重要性
我回答 it is to develop and promote policies and practices that improve health and well-being of families, children and adults. 酒店管理是公众服务的体现,而人类服务很看重服务这一项,它们有共同的main idea,所以我学起来会很轻松.人类服务现在十分重要,在许多领域都能发挥作用.
又问我怎么知道这个学校的.
我回答,我一个阿姨是从美国毕业的,她告诉我一些这个学校的情况,这个学校很适合我,所以我就在网上查找到了它(矛盾,I heard from my aunt ,then I did some research).
签证官这个时候反问了一句:on the web site?
我想估计就是这里遭了,就很怀疑我了.
我就解释是因为一个阿姨的推荐.
然后问我过去怎么安排.
我就说先用三个月提高英语水平（别提具体时间）,然后学习课程,(get used to the environment)拿到我的硕士学位后我将会回成都工作
他又问我父亲是干什么的,
我边说边把父母的在职证明给他看.
然后他就在我护照后面盖了个章,我就知道肯定被拒了.
其重点还是一直在问我有关专业的一些内容.所有资料都没有看,除了我父母的在职证明,我之前签证的几乎都看了房产证的,但我根本都没用上.
两签---
今天感觉自己的整体状态,还有信心都满足的.
一号窗口的亚裔MM非常好签,基本上在她手上的都过了,除了资料没备齐还有资金问题的两个人,我也以为我会在她那里签,毕竟机会有50%,谁知道被三号窗口的小山羊叫了去.
他先问有什么新的改变,
我说学校发来了支持信希望能帮助我取得签证过去学习,并把支持信递了进去,谁知道他看都不看就给我退出来,说这个不算NEW CHANGE,然后我赶忙把我的归国计划递进去,说我还拟定了更加详细的归国计划,他看了一眼就放在一边,要我自己来说.
(Basically)我就说我将会去美国读硕士,他打断我,说我之前学的旅游与酒店管理和现在的人类服务差别很大,我说我不这样认为(不能说签证官是错的，只能说yes，然后要把自己的想法阐述出来),因为人类服务的课程里包括了我之前学的一些课程,并且他们的main idea 都是一样的,重在服务管理.
我接着说我学完后会回到成都进入一家企业工作,并且我同这家企业已经签定了定向合同,他就问什么企业,我说了名字,并且把合同递进去给他看.他就说我觉得你不会回来,这个对你影响不大,我说如果我不回来我将会赔付违约金,并且对我的信誉都会带来很大的损害.他又说3000块钱不算什么,你父母都完全能够给你偿还.我说更重要的是honest,既然我做出了承诺,我一定会遵守,这也是我做人的原则.
但他什么都没说,把所有的东西都给我退了出来,我心里就觉得估计要拒了.
他问还有什么要补充的,我说我的房产证需要看吗.
他说之前的签证官看过了吗,我说没有,然后他就要看,我把三个房产证都递进去.他看了之后退了出来,说you have many houses.我说,是的,所以我有足够的钱支持我在美国的学习,我回国后这些也将由我继承.
他开始盖章了,说我不相信你会回来.
我觉得这次的问答都没什么问题,就是那个违约金的金额被他逮到了.
怎么说,运气还是不好吧,要是今天在一号窗口签,是肯定能过的

大本毕业，工作三年，去美国排名50以后的学校去读MBA，半奖。上午9:10进入使馆，大约11:20开始签证，签证时间可能有10分钟，结果以移民倾向被拒。过程如下：
签证经过：
Me: Hello， sir。(at the same time, I submit my materials, but he only accepted the red card.)
Vo: Why do you want to go to USA?
Me: I want to pursue my MBA degree at *** university, specializing in ***. I will focus on ***. (At this time, Vo pointed the microphone. He implied he could not hear me clearly. 所以我不得不对这麦克风说话,不过我的眼睛始终盯着他. 我又问,can you hear me clearly?
Vo: yes.
Vo: How long have you worked.
Me: Three years.

Vo: how can you convince me you will come back？There are too many students who said they will come back but they finally stay in USA.
Me: you mean I will not come back to China because I get an American MBA degree?
Vo: yes.
Me: Are you kidding? (语气非常强烈而且不容置疑)
Vo: No. (毫不让步)
Me: I will give you explanations. (针锋相对) Their decisions cannot imply my decision. First, as you know that only students of the top 25 business schools can easily find high salary jobs. Students of other business schools have many difficulties in find good jobs. Second, the total amount of MBA in China is not more than 20,000. But the need for MBA now is 100,000. With China's entry into WTO, my country will need more and more MBA to operate business. I believe it's much easier to get a senior position in China than in USA. Third, with my college background and my public relationship experiences, I have kept good relationships with many senior officers in the government and media of China. After getting an American MBA degree, I can get their support to enter the upper business circles and political circles. That means I will have power. But in America, I am only a foreigner. Fourth, good living conditions do not mean all of things for me. Patriotic spirit and strong career ambition will encourage me to come back to China and make contributions to my country. In American, I am only a foreigner. Homeless, rootless, lonely, how can I stay in USA? But it is not the worst. The worst is I have no chance to step in the upper business circles and the upper society. By the way, how to stay in USA? Forget my parents, forget my friends, forget my career in China, forget my established relations for my future success, and forget about all of things that I had planed for my life? Just for living in USA as a foreigner? How can I realize my ambition on the unfamiliar land? (整个过程一气呵成, vo没有打断我, 我的声音很大. )
Vo: I still don't believe you will come back.
Me: Why don't you believe me I will come back? I stress it again. I am proud of being Chinese, not proud of living in USA as the third-class citizen.
Vo: How many schools have you applied?
Me: Four.
Vo: how many accepted you?
Me: Two accepted me and gave me offers.
Vo: (writing on the of-156) According American law, I cannot issue you visa this time. Welcome next time.
回来后, 静下心来,
总结如下:
1. 我没有畏惧签证官, 整个过程敢说, 中间让他pardon了一次, 我没有练过口语, 今天去说得很流利, 而且很有气势, 我平时说话很有条理, 所以自我感觉不像在背书。
2. 我的眼睛始终未离开签证官, 也没有要逃避的意思。我不是乞求签证, 而是作为一个中国人赴美读书, 我本人没有移民倾向。但是我没有说服他, 他谈到了有10多万中国人在美国不回来的问题。而且也说他听到的解释太多了, 也习惯了.
3. 我可能没有像别人说的那样humanize, 因为在大厅里等了很久, 心理本来就很恼火, 再加上我的民族自尊心又非常强烈, 所以我的气势一直很盛, 声音又大, 平时的风度都没有了。今天不知怎么了? 搞的vo 不敢靠前。我想这恐怕不好。
4. 怎样说服签证官自己没有移民倾向, 我感觉太难了。我讲的理由, 我相信其他签有也会想到, 可那的确是我的真实想法. 整个过程他没有问我的回国计划. 我感觉他说话挺长的, 有时很难听懂。
案例分析：
1）这位同学的回答过分强势，可能已经冒犯到VO了。
比如说，他提到：
“I am proud of being Chinese, not proud of living in USA as the third-class citizen.”“In American, I am only a foreigner. Homeless, rootless, lonely, how can I stay in USA? But it is not the worst. The worst is I have no chance to step in the upper business circles and the upper society.”
这些话很可能使得VO感到他在暗示美国有种族歧视，并且暗暗表露出美国的社会并不适合外国人生活，这对他的签证申请是相当不利的。要知道美国是一个移民国家，她欢迎一切有能力的外国公民通过合法途径移民美国，而不是用非法途径。对于外国留学生的态度同样是欢迎来美国深造，但是不同意以这种方式移民美国。这位同学很有可能是对美国的移民法则了解不够，因此才会有所冲动。
此外他认为“Homeless, rootless, lonely,”
是他无法呆在美国的理由，对VO来说，可能有很多人说过类似的话，但是最终结果并不是这样。面对美国的巨大诱惑，很多人宁愿“Homeless, rootless, lonely”，也不愿回国。因此这个回国理由是根本站不住脚的。
2）同时他在说明没有移民倾向时，也有问题。
他的某些判断显得有些偏激。比如“First, as you know that only students of the top 25 business schools can easily find high salary jobs.”我们知道，MBA本身就是一个职业导向很重的科系，并且代价昂贵，不考虑投资回报是不现实的。他这样说等于模糊了他自己申请美国MBA的动机，既然前25名的MBA才能觅得高薪职位，那么他自己又去申请50名后的学校，这使得VO对于他出外读书的动机产生疑惑，很自然会认为出去的目的是为了移民。至于“By the way, how to stay in USA? Forget my parents, forget my friends, forget my career in China, forget my established relations for my future success, and forget about all of things that I had planed for my life? Just for living in USA as a foreigner? How can I realize my ambition on the unfamiliar land?”。这是典型的用中国人的思维去回答美国人的问题。对于大多数美国人来说，没有中国人那样强烈的乡土观念，3、4年搬一次家，甚至来一次跨州的大迁移都是正常现象。父母、朋友、职业都不能成为让一个人无法离开家乡的理由。 总的来说，在面对签证时自信是必要的，但没有必要上升到有关民族尊严的高度。每一个前去签证的学生与VO都是平等的，不存在谁比谁高一等。这位同学自己也提到，“声音又大, 平时的风度都没有了......我想这恐怕不好。”的确如此，VO只是根据美国移民法在秉公办事，并不是根据个人好恶来决定放给谁VISA，如果真是这样，在这位同学谈到美国有歧视的时候，VO早就可以摆摆手叫他走人，连“I'm sorry”都不必说了。所以各位同学在签证时既不能缩手缩脚，也不能过分自大，只要摆好心态，对自己的回国计划做好充分准备（要注意不是简单的说‘我会回来。）
